Ryan Rypka practices intellectual property law concentrating on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, and diligence for telecommunications, semiconductor, software, and wireless technologies. He is a strong advocate for client in any environment, leveraging his technical knowledge along with his business and legal experience.

Ryan also has experience helping clients with drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO and freedom to operate opinions.

While pursuing his law degree, Ryan was a Student Attorney for the University of Michigan – Community and Economic Development Clinic (now the Community Enterprise Clinic). At the clinic, he helped protect local businesses by reviewing and updating IP licensing agreements and developing independent contractor licensing agreements.

Before and during his undergraduate years, Ryan worked for a Minnesota elevator and accessibility equipment company as an Information Technology Specialist. He maintained, updated, and protected the company’s computer systems, data, and website.

Ryan enjoys pickleball, hiking, and watching sports.
