Proven Results in Monetization & Transactions

• ADC Telecommunications, Inc. – Advised on the monetization and sale of a wireless OFDM patent portfolio to HTC Corporation for $75 million. Developed and executed a value-creation strategy—including more than 50 accelerated filings and reissue applications—to strengthen claim scope and maximize transaction value.
• DuPont Pioneer – Structured and negotiated multiple global licensing arrangements, including a non-exclusive license to the Broad Institute’s CRISPR-Cas9 technology. Designed governance frameworks and standardized licensing terms to enable coordinated out-licensing across defined fields and markets.
• Oxygenator Water Technologies (OWP) – Provided end-to-end IP value creation, including prosecution of a strategically developed patent portfolio with commercially relevant claim scope, followed by enforcement when negotiated business solutions proved unattainable. Secured a jury verdict finding willful infringement and awarding approximately $9.8 million in reasonable royalty damages, with the potential for enhanced damages, demonstrating the firm’s ability to translate IP assets into significant monetary recovery.
• Housey Pharma LLC – Advised on the development and monetization of a patent portfolio covering core-enabling drug discovery technologies, including proprietary cell-based assay platforms designed to identify and optimize compounds acting on targeted proteins and disease pathways. Built a portfolio with commercially relevant claim scope around these foundational platforms and leveraged it in licensing and enforcement strategies to generate meaningful revenue from early-stage innovation.
• Boston Scientific – Advised on numerous acquisitions and spin-offs in the medical device space, including transactional work to optimize the relevant language in the agreements.  In furtherance of those efforts, worked with inside counsel to advise BSC on IP due diligence matters (typically, investigation of a target company’s intellectual property portfolio to assess ownership, validity, and risks during mergers, acquisitions, or investments) to ensure legal compliance and strategic alignment with business objectives.
