Katherine Chen focuses her practice on patent litigation, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, data privacy, transactions, and licensing. She leverages her background and education in genetics and biology to assist clients in meeting their goals.

Katherine has assisted clients with patent litigation and transactions for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, investments, and telecommunications technologies. Katherine is a resourceful researcher and has experience with all stages of litigation and mediation.

She is an author for the firm’s award-winning “Inventor Spotlight,” which highlights inventors who have impacted our society due to their innovations. Katherine also writes regularly on the firm’s ANDA Litigation blog about technology and cases relevant to ANDA litigation.

Katherine has also published her work in scientific journals, such as Development, Genetics, PLoS ONE, and Nature Communications.

When not working, Katherine enjoys painting, cooking, and rock climbing.
