Carlson Caspers Announces Diversity Scholarship Recipient

Carlson Caspers, a top-ranked intellectual property law firm, is pleased to announce that Payton J. Pace, currently a first-year law student at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, has been awarded the firm’s Diversity Scholarship for her 2023/2024 studies. Payton earned her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University (BA, Political Science Pre-Law, Minor in Law, Justice, & Public Policy).

Carlson Caspers established its Diversity Scholarship Program in 2018 and has since awarded seven recipients. The program provides scholarships to law students with an undergraduate degree in a technical or scientific discipline and who are committed to practicing intellectual property law in Minnesota.

“Our diversity scholarship is a critical investment in excellence in the field of intellectual property law,” said Tara C. Norgard, a member of the firm’s Management Committee and co-founder and co-chair of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. “We are committed to dismantling barriers for people who have for far too long been underrepresented in our legal community and IP law, specifically.
